Trump Informs Netanyahu to End Gaza War, Stop Iran Attack Threats, Report Says
President Trump informed Netanyahu to end its war in Gaza and stop talks of Iran attacks as pressure builds to hold Israel more accountable.

What Happened?
President Donald Trump informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end its war in Gaza and stop talks of attacks on Iran during a recent phone call.
According to a report, President Trump said his call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday went 'very well, very smooth.'
News of the call came Wednesday following the U.K. joining four other countries to issue sanctions on two Israeli ministers accused of inciting violence against Palestinians.
In addition, Washington has pushed for a U.S.-Iran nuclear deal while it continues indirect talks with Hamas over a ceasefire in Gaza.
'These sanctions do not advance U.S.-led efforts to achieve a ceasefire, bring all hostages home, and end the war,' Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement.
He reiterated labels that Hamas is a terrorist organization.
Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called condemnation by the U.S. and Israel of the sanctions 'predictable.'
Netanyahu gathered with his top ministers late Tuesday and made 'some progress' in negotiations toward a ceasefire deal, according to CNN.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said there had been recent progress in ceasefire talks that also aim to bring back hostages held in Gaza.
'Israel is serious in its will to secure a hostage deal,' he said Tuesday during a news conference in Jerusalem.
Why it Matters
The U.S. may be slowly signaling its willingness to ramp up pressure amid the announcement of other countries holding Israel more accountable.
Israeli leaders have been accused of serious abuses of Palestinian human rights.
The U.K. and other allies have vowed to 'clamp down on settler violence.'
Some experts view that Trump and Netanyahu are increasingly at odds over the 20-month conflict in Gaza.
The death toll from the Israel-Hamas war has now climbed past 55,000, the Gaza Health Ministry said.
Despite Netanyahu's push to withdraw Hamas and permanently displace millions of Gazans, President Trump has recently pushed for an end to the ongoing war.
After the Trump administration bypassed Israel during its tour in the Middle East, it lifted sanctions on Syria and reached a ceasefire deal with Houthis in Yemen.
But Israel has continued its Middle Eastern plans after recently launching its first seaborne attack against the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned his country’s 'long arm in the air and at sea will reach everywhere.'
It creates conflict between the U.S. and Iranian negotiators as nuclear talks have reportedly become ‘much more aggressive.’
How it Affects You
Despite resistance, the Trump administration has tried expanding the Abraham Accords.
While the U.S. has attempted to weigh options with Middle Eastern relations, Israel has remained particularly stagnant, making the future state in Gaza unclear.
Trump's previously expressed optimism between Hamas and Israel is running low for a foreseeable ceasefire as Israeli attacks begin to expand.
U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee recently told Bloomberg News that a Palestinian state or two-state solution with Israel is no longer a U.S. policy goal.
Israel's conduct has faced international criticism, which has amplified a hunger crisis, as attacks across the Gaza Strip continue to impact vital aid sites.
The U.K. has joined others to follow through on its promises to take 'concrete actions.'
But only time will tell if the U.S. remains patient on the sidelines.
