Israel Targets Hamas Leaders in Qatar in Unprecedented Airstrike
Israeli Air Force launches airstrike against Hamas leaders in Qatar in unprecedented move.

What Happened?
The Israeli Air Force launched an airstrike on Hamas leaders in Doha, Qatar, as they met to discuss a proposal from U.S. President Donald Trump. How many Hamas leaders might have been killed or injured has not been released to the public or remains unknown.
Qatar’s government condemned the strike, calling it a blatant violation of international law. The Trump Administration said they had not been informed about the attack until it was already underway. The Israeli government confirmed the Trump Administration’s assertion, adding that ‘This was a wholly independent Israeli operation. Israel initiated it, Israel conducted it, and Israel takes full responsibility.’
Why it Matters
The Israeli strike against Hamas in Qatar is significant for several reasons. First, senior Hamas leaders have been living in luxury in Qatar since the October 2023 attack on Israel, and this strike may have shattered their sense of invulnerability. Second, the muted reaction from the Arab world shows how far the fortunes of Hamas have fallen, with key Arab countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia saying little in response. Third, Israeli secrecy will likely shield the United States from Qatari anger.
Google closes secret $20B deal with Apple to become iPhone’s default search engine…
The deal has nothing to do with adding Apple customers to their user base.
The real target is you.
More specifically, your data.
Google collects 20X more user data than Apple, and this deal continues to fuel Google’s ad revenue engine which makes an eye-popping +$250 billion annually.
Mode Mobile wants smartphone users to get their piece of that money.
They’re flipping the data industry on its head, splitting the profits with their users by turning smartphones into an income-generating asset.*
Here’s what that looks like:
✅ Paid over $325M to over 50M users.
✅ Generated 32,481% revenue growth.
✅ Previously ranked #1 fastest-growing software company by Deloitte.
📲Their EarnPhone is considered the Uber of smartphones, and they’re gearing up for a potential IPO on the Nasdaq (ticker: $MODE).
And as companies desperately seek to extract more data, investors like you can invest in Mode’s pre-IPO offering for a limited time.
This is just the beginning of the data gold rush for Mode Mobile.
The question is, will you be part of it?
Qatar hosts Ul Udeid, a massive American airbase in a remote section of the country. The base is home to much hardware for U.S. Central Command, which leads and conducts most U.S. military activities in the Middle East. If Qatar were to kick the U.S. out of the country and close the base, it would be a major blow to American military operations in the region. By not telling the U.S. in advance about the strike in Doha, Israel likely headed off any anger in the Qatari government towards America.
The reaction from Hamas has also been telling. Hamas is a terrorist organization that has used suicide attackers against civilians countless times, and has terrorized the Palestinians for years. For such a group to now complain about someone else’s tactics rather than immediately threatening retaliation as they always have before indicates even the senior leaders of Hamas may have lost enthusiasm for the war they started.
Even ten years ago, an Israeli attack on an Arab country would have resulted in Egypt and Saudi Arabia condemning Israel and calling for retribution. But this attack has elicited no such calls from either country, who instead have called for Hamas to be disarmed and disbanded. Egypt has even started training a Palestinian police force to replace Hamas. Fouad Ajami once wrote that in the Middle East people tend to back the stronger horse, which in the Gaza War is Israel.
How it Affects You
The war in Gaza has helped reshape the political landscape of the Middle East in Israel’s favor. But attacks against Hamas leadership who were engaged in negotiations could backfire by convincing them further negotiations are a waste of time. Or by killing the very leaders who might be the only members of Hamas capable of enforcing a potential order to surrender.
*Mode Mobile recently received their ticker reservation with Nasdaq ($MODE), indicating an intent to IPO in the next 24 months. An intent to IPO is no guarantee that an actual IPO will occur.
The Deloitte rankings are based on submitted applications and public company database research, with winners selected based on their fiscal-year revenue growth percentage over a three-year period.
